It Gets Hard Sometimes

It gets hard sometimes
holding onto your peace of mind

It gets hard sometimes
when you just want to break
down and cry
seeing the love you gave
being thrown away

It gets hard sometimes
as life’s beauty seems to
die right before your eyes.
I said it gets hard sometimes
when you hear the lies

I said it gets hard sometimes
to hold onto your peace of mind
when you’re so lonely at night
with no one by your side

I said it gets hard sometimes
after you reach out
and touch
and never in return
receive a simple hug

I said it gets hard sometimes
to keep peace of mind
when all the joy seems no longer
a part of our life

Now is the time to bring out your inner peace
for all the world to feel and see
Now is the time to go deep inside and show the
power of an inner peace of mind
and shine your positive light

Now is the time to be the best of friends
to yourself in spite of those who don’t
reach out to touch your soul.

You must never drop so low as to not be able to
inspire someone else to rise

I’m not no Fair Weather Lover
When pressure comes
I don’t hide under the covers

I’m by your side, gray or blue skies
Through the storms my arms will stay warm
During the rain, I’ll umbrella you from the pain

When the season is hot and dry – no water in sight
you’ll discover, I’m not a Fair Weather Lover

I’ll stick close when it’s cold
I’ll hold on when the wind blows
I’ll be your heat 50 below
I won’t let go when your hands are frozen

Winter, summer, or fall
I’ll be with you through it all
Because you will discover

Not About Me This Time

Soft to the touch.
Ready to satisfy my every desire,
day and night.
No need to get excited,
I had this love before.

I know this can end
at the blink of an eye.
But for her,
I must keep this love alive.

It’s not about me this time.

As long as she believes in love,
I’ll stay by her side.

It’s not about me this time.

not to receive.
