“Why Must I Have A Faith?”

I know there is something bigger
Than I that has control over my life
I know there is something behind the sky
That makes it shine
…or rain,
…or snow.

I know there is something that guides me
towards peace and harmony
with all I feel and see.

I know that for me to achieve my purpose for being
I must submit to the inner power that lets me know
that I must have faith in something
if I am to become anything.

I must believe I am meant to be something
more than sorrow, fear, or loss.
My meaning is clear because my faith is real.
My faith is real, because I have let myself go.
And my faith has picked up my soul and now
is in control of where I go, who I talk to
And what I do while sharing moments with you.

Yes faith is the one thing
one must have to carry them through.
Each moment of each day
you must become your faith
or something else will take your place.
